Carolyn’s
Legacy
The Carolyn Giles Nelson Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of minority women, men, and children.
This foundation was inspired by the spirit of a beloved Mom, Nana, and Auntie, to honor Carolyn Giles Nelson—a true trailblazer who courageously integrated the Grady School of Nursing. Her life's work was devoted to improving healthcare for people of color, and we proudly carry that legacy forward. We work to ensure that healthcare services are delivered with integrity and fairness. We also strongly believe in nurturing the next generation of medical professionals by encouraging and supporting minority students in pursuing degrees in nursing and other healthcare fields so that they can serve people from all walks of life.
